Organic solvents are solvents (which are used to dissolve other compounds, usually solids) that share a common structure, which involves at least one carbon and one hydrogen atom, low molecular weight (which is very difficult to exactly define), fat solubility, volatility (readily evaporated at room temperature) and exist as liquids at room temperature.
