Neuroleptic malignant syndrome is a condition with near identical symptoms to SS, except with more prominent movement-related symptoms. It is caused by dopamine antagonists like antipsychotics (especially high potency typical antipsychotics like fluphenazine and haloperidol; these agents are also called neuroleptics, hence the name) and dopaminergic antiemetics like metoclopramide. It can also be caused by abrupt withdrawal of dopamine agonists (including indirect ones) like apomorphine, bromocriptine, levodopa, etc.
